-Head of Environment, oceanology and natural resources laboratory from 2005 to 2012
-Dean of FP-Larache from 2009 until now.

Fidel ECHEVARRIA

 

 

Fidel Echevarría (PhD in Biology) is Professor of Ecology at the University of Cadiz (UCA) and General coordinator of the International marine Campus of excellence CEIMAR, an scientific aggregation including 14 research institutions from 3 countries (Spain, Portugal and Morocco). He is also the director of the International Doctorate School in Marine Studies (EIDEMAR). With more than 60 scientific publications, he has been involved in more than 20 research projects of national or European level, and has participated in 15 oceanographic cruises, including a circumnavigation during the "Malaspina" expedition. He was the former director of the Andalusian Center for Marine Science and Technology, the Spanish coordinator of the GLOBEC (IGBP) program and responsible of the Associate Unit between University of Cádiz and CSIC. From 2009 to 2013, he collaborated with MINECO as manager of the Spanish Marine Science and Technology Program.

 

 

 

 

Adelino CANARIO

 

 

Adelino V.M. Canario received is PhD from the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK). He is professor of Cell Biology and Reproductive Physiology, Director of the Centre for Marine Sciences at the University of Algarve and visiting professor (1000 Talents) at Shanghai Ocean University. He has published in the fields of comparative endocrinology and physiology, behaviour and comparative genomics/transcriptomics. Current research is centred on the mechanisms of sex determination, the control of puberty and chemical communication in fishes. He is associate editor of the journals Aquaculture, Gene, General Comparative Endocrinology and Heliyon.

 

 

 

Roberto PASTRES

 

 

-Associate Professor in Environmental Chemistry.
-Main expertise: modelling of biogeochemical and ecological processes in coastal ecosystems, integrative assessment of coastal ecosystems.
-Member of the teaching board of the Joint Master Programme in Sustainable Development (www.jointdegree.eu/sd).
-He has coordinated the FP7 project “MEDINA” (www.medinaproject.eu) on the assessment of Mediterranean coastal marine ecosystem in North Africa.
